About the Fund
The capital of Artea Emerging Markets Ex-Dictatorship Bond subfund is invested in debt securities issued by the most promising emerging countries‘ governments, municipalities, and companies based on fundamental credit analysis. The subfund combines riskier (corporate bonds) and safer (government, municipal bonds) investments to protect asset value and ensure consistent returns on subfund investments over time.
During the subfund's investment selection process, a country‘s governance is assessed – if the majority of reliable data sources indicate that the state does not adhere to universally recognized democratic principles, such investments are excluded. Countries dominated by dictatorial regimes are typically less transparent, more corrupt, and power is concentrated in the hands of a narrow group of individuals, making it harder for investors to assess risks. As a result, such countries are more prone to unexpected and difficult-to-predict shocks that can significantly impact the economy and the value of investments.
As of 2025-12-01 subfund has three Unit Classes:
- K Unit Class is the unit class that does not pay a proportional share of income received and does not apply a minimum investment amount.
- D Unit Class is the unit class that pays the D Unit Class participants four times per year an amount equivalent to 90% of the income received by the D Unit Class from dividends on debt securities (government and municipal bonds) and exchange-traded funds (“ETFs”), and does not apply a minimum investment amount.
- Unit Class I is a unit class that does not pay a proportional share of income received, and whose minimum investment amount is 500,000 EUR or 100,000 EUR when invested by professional investors.
The Subfund was launched on 2016-07-01.
The benchmark index was selected to accurately reflect the investment strategy defined in the Fund's Rules (types, proportions) and the strategic distribution of the Fund's investments.
