About
Artea
We set out to create a different kind of bank – progressive yet human, and distinctly Lithuanian. A bank that fosters pride in the authenticity of Lithuanian heritage while developing cutting-edge solutions for the future.
The name Artea embodies three key qualities: Lithuanian identity, modernity, and closeness to customers. It represents a strong connection to Lithuanian culture, reflects the dynamism and innovation of the modern world, and conveys the bank’s goal of being the most approachable, understanding, and accessible bank in Lithuania for every customer.
Strategy
Positioning
01 Challenge
The challenge was to move beyond bank’s regional image and establish a clear, unified identity – one that reflects its full capabilities and positions it as a modern Lithuanian financial partner for any private and business client.
02 Strategic direction
The strategy focused on reinforcing Artea’s commitment to being deeply connected to Lithuania – physically and culturally. The bank needed to evolve from being perceived as a regional player to a modern financial partner with national relevance. The positioning centered on the idea of a bank that is always closer to its clients, evolving alongside their needs, and providing long-term, trusted relationships grounded in local understanding and expertise.
03 Naming
The rebrand culminated in the renaming of Šiaulių Bankas to Artea, a name derived from the Lithuanian word “artėja” meaning “coming closer.” This name symbolizes the bank’s expanded capabilities and its commitment to staying closely connected with its client needs. The renaming not only reflects the strategic shift but also streamlines the bank’s brand architecture, unifying all its group companies -banking, leasing, insurance, and investments – under one cohesive brand.
Logo
Primary logotype
While our logo is only a small part of our holistic identity, it is the most recognizable and tangible expression of the company and, therefore, should always be used properly.
Our logo containing symbol “a” – portrays our wide ranging financial platform. At the same time it completely embodies our values of being clear, confident, reliable and modern.
The following chapters will explain how our logo should be used with the new visual identity.
Positive / negative logotype versions
Our logo is always used in one of two colours: Artea Blue (#071844) or White (#ffffff), depending on the background colour.
Logo on light background
If you are using logo on a bright background – use the logo in Artea Blue (##071844) colour. If that is not possible – you can exceptionally use logo in Black (#000000) colour.
Logo on dark background
If you are using a dark background for your communication, you should use the logo in White (#ffffff) colour.
Logotype symbol
This is the shorter version of our logo. It can be used as a standalone element in situations where the full wordmark is unnecessary or when our company name appears elsewhere in the same context (e.g., as an app icon, social media profile image, or favicon).
Like our primary logo version, the symbol uses the same colors: Artea Blue (#071844) or White (#ffffff), depending on the background color.

Safety zone & Minimum size
To protect the strength and integrity of the logo, a clear space area, free of competing visual elements should be maintained. Also to ensure its legibility in print or digital formats, the logo shouldn’t be smaller than its smallest possible size.
Both versions of our logo share the same safety zone, which is determined by the full height of the symbol.
The minimum logo sizes for print and digital are specified below.
Safety zones for signage
For logo signs, we recommend choosing between these two safety zone sizes. Depending on the surrounding space and the base on which the logotype will be composed.
