Fraud is on the rise: scammers use Google Ads

Please be informed that we have detected cases of scammers using Google’s search engine advertising services. Through these services, when the keywords Šiaulių bankas internet bank are entered into a search engine, the first lines of the search engine show a fake internet bank page, which is very similar to the real Šiaulių bankas internet bank.
We therefore strongly advise you to check the link you click on and, in particular, where you enter your personal and login details.

Don’t forget – scammers use a variety of methods to steal your financial data. The example above is just one of many used. By creating a fake online bank page where customers can enter their login details, fraudsters use the bank’s name, logo, colours and other elements to make the page look authentic. Once the customer enters their login details and confirms them with a PIN, the information goes straight into the hands of the fraudsters. Once logged in, the scammers immediately try to make payments to foreign bank accounts.
