The bank’s strategic objective is to become the leading bank in Lithuania and the first choice for both residents and businesses. The rebranding, including the new name, is part of a broader strategic initiative to achieve this goal and become the most trusted and recognisable brand in Lithuania’s financial sector. It reflects a wider transformation designed to deliver more attractive and customer-centred services.

We have always been and remain a Lithuanian bank – our shareholders have not changed – and we continue to operate solely within Lithuania.

As we grow and strengthen our position as a financial partner, we aim to build closer relationships with our customers. We operate the largest customer service network in Lithuania, yet the previous name was associated with a specific region. We want customers to clearly see the bank’s growth and our ambition to modernise while preserving our Lithuanian identity and our commitment to being close to every individual.

Artea – pronounced arteya – was chosen to reflect the bank’s vision and core values. The name echoes a Lithuanian word, while its modern form, visual identity, and logo elements symbolise innovation. The embedded idea of proximity conveys our promise to be the closest bank to our customers.

All group companies have now been brought under a single brand – Artea. On 05 May 2025, Šiaulių bankas became Artea bank; the life insurance company SB draudimas became Artea Life Insurance; the pension and investment fund manager SB Asset Management became Artea Asset Management; and the consumer financing company SB lizingas became Artea lizingas. The bank’s key shareholders remain unchanged. They include prominent Lithuanian business groups: Invalda INVL, Tesonet Global (part of the Tesonet business development and investment group), the holding company Willgrow (which manages Girteka Logistics), and the international European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). In addition, more than 5,000 small shareholders in Lithuania – individual residents – own shares in Artea.

The name change did not affect the services provided to our customers.  Artea bank continues to operate the largest branch network among Lithuania’s banks, welcoming customers at 52 branches in 34 cities across the country. These branches have been updated with new signage and branding.

Our goal is to be a bank that is closer to the customer – accessibility is one of our core values. We are committed to ensuring that our services are readily accessible both in person at branches and online, in whichever way is most convenient for the customer.

The name change did not affect the terms of any contracts or services related to banking, pension and investment funds, life insurance, or leasing. Bank account numbers remained unchanged. The bank’s SWIFT code also remained the same,   and all Šiaulių bankas payment cards remain valid until their expiry date. Customer login details have not changed, and no action is required from customers as a result of the rebranding.

Customers of the bank and its group companies – Artea Asset Management, Artea Life Insurance, and Artea lizingas – are not required to take any action. Existing contracts, services, and payment accounts remain unchanged following the rebrand.

Only the company names were changed. Šiaulių bankas became Artea bank; the life insurance provider SB draudimas became Artea Life Insurance; the pension and investment fund manager SB Asset Management became Artea Asset Management; and the consumer financing company SB lizingas became Artea lizingas. The bank and all group companies will now operate under a unified brand – Artea.

All Šiaulių bankas payment cards remain valid until the expiry date printed on the card. Customer account numbers and the bank’s SWIFT code also remain unchanged. 

Following the rebranding, we updated the bank’s website. You may notice visual changes in the internet banking and self-service platforms, although the website addresses for these platforms have not changed. Your login credentials for internet banking and other services remain the same.

All obligations of Artea towards customers, suppliers, and partners remain valid. Contracts previously signed with Šiaulių bankas continue to be legally binding for the duration specified in each agreement. No action is required on your part. Only the legal names and contact details of the bank and its group companies have changed – all other company information remains the same.

Yes, all debit and credit cards issued before the name change remain valid until the expiration date shown on the card. There are no restrictions on card usage, and your account number remains the same. No action is required from customers.

When your card expires, it will be replaced in the usual way with a new Artea-branded card.

The bank’s website and mobile app have been updated with a new design and branding, including changes to the website address and contact details. There are visual updates to the internet bank and self-service platforms, but their features and usability remain unchanged.

Yes. The bank’s rebranding has no impact on daily operations or the safety of your funds. All services continue as normal. Artea remains a stable and reliable Lithuanian bank.

Important:  Stay alert to potential fraud. Scammers may attempt to exploit the name change. We are taking all necessary steps to protect our customers.

Artea will never call to request login credentials or identity verification via Smart–ID or Mobile–ID. No action is required from customers.

The official website of Artea bank is  www.artea.lt. Fraudulent websites may differ by just one character and may appear visually similar. Remain vigilant: Do not approve logins, transfers, or transactions you did not initiate. Access your self-service and internet bank only by clicking “Login” on the official website.

The bank may share updates via email and social media, but will never ask you to log in or verify your identity due to the name change.

Please do not respond to emails containing links to log in to the internet bank or to verify your identity in any other way, for example, using Smart-ID or Mobile-ID.

Be especially wary of messages on social networks that allegedly ask you to log in to the internet bank or to verify your identity in order to win prizes or supposedly to update services in the new bank. These are common scam tactics.

The bank will not ask you to provide your login details or to access your account via direct links for the bank's name change. The names of our pension funds were updated to reflect the group’s rebranding –  they are now called Artea. SB Asset Management, which manages pension and investment funds, is now Artea Asset Management. No action is required from customers.

Due to these changes, we have updated the rules of all pension funds, along with the pre-contractual (sustainability) information documents, key information documents, and the investment strategy documents of the second-pillar pension funds. These documents now reflect the new legal name of the asset management company, updated fund names, and revised contact details.

No other changes to the aforementioned documents are planned, and the terms of your agreement remain unchanged. The contribution payment accounts and payment methods also remain the same. If any such changes are introduced in the future, we will inform you separately.

The contribution collection accounts have not been altered. These changes have had no impact on the number of fund units you hold. As a result of the updates, your investment risk has not changed, you have not assumed any new obligations related to your participation in the fund, and the asset management company's obligations to you remain unchanged.

Following the rebranding of the bank and its group companies, the names of the investment funds have also been updated. From now on, our funds operate under the Artea name. Artea Asset Management is the new name of the company previously known as SB Asset Management, which manages pension and investment funds. Customers are not required to take any action.

We have updated the rules of the investment funds and sub-funds, as well as the pre-contractual (sustainability) information documents, key information documents, and prospectuses. These documents now reflect the new legal name of the asset management company, updated fund and sub-fund names, contact details, and investment strategies.

No further changes to the fund rules or related documents are planned, and the terms of your agreement remain unchanged. Contribution payment accounts and methods also remain the same. If there are any changes in the future, we will notify you separately.

These updates have not affected the number of units you hold. Your investment risk has not changed, no new obligations have been imposed, and the management company’s commitments to you remain unchanged.

As part of the rebranding of the bank and group companies, the life insurance company has also changed its name. Artea Life Insurance is the new name for the company formerly known as SB draudimas. No action is required from customers.

Following the renaming of the life insurance company, the investment directions of the investment-linked life insurance component have also been renamed. All other contractual terms remain unchanged. The investment strategies and options under the investment-linked life insurance component remain the same. Contribution payment accounts and payment methods remain unchanged.
