Information regarding the assets and liabilities of a deceased client of Artea Bank may be provided only to official heirs upon presentation of a death certificate and a notarized statement – a certificate of acceptance of the estate and a statement providing the prospective heir with information about the decedent’s assets, or upon presentation of a final certificate of inheritance regarding the decedent’s estate.
A statement regarding the decedent’s assets and liabilities may be requested at a bank branch or remotely (by phone, email, online banking, etc.). The statement is prepared within 15 business days. We always recommend scheduling an appointment to visit a bank branch, especially if the heir does not use electronic authentication methods. This will make it much easier and faster to receive services, since if the applicant contacts us by phone or email without using electronic authentication methods, the heir will still need to send the documents via email and verify their identity by other means.
Please note that when visiting a bank branch, the applicant’s identification document (passport, ID card) must be presented to verify the identity of the person making the request.
Information on whether a deceased person had a bank account with Artea Bank is provided free of charge. When requesting information on the deceased's bank transactions, a certificate is drawn up, charged according to the service fees (Fees for the preparation of certificates and other documents - Artea Bank), and provided within a maximum of 15 working days.
Both the information on whether a person is a customer of the bank and the service of ordering a certificate of his/her transactions can be provided over the phone and by email. However, we always recommend that you register for a visit to the branch, especially if the heir is not a customer of Artea Bank and does not use electronic authentication. This will make it much easier and quicker to receive the service, as the heir will still have to forward the documents by email after contacting by phone or email. Often, heirs do not know how to proceed with the information they have, which is understandable, especially when there are other concerns in such a situation. The bank's customer service specialists are ready to be there for you in what is often a difficult moment, to answer any questions or remind you of what documents are needed and how to prepare them.
