Our journey to today
Artea, the New Name of Šiaulių Bankas
The Šiauliai Group rebranded as Artea, and the Group’s companies were accordingly renamed Artea bankas, Artea lizingas, Artea Asset Management, and Artea Life Insurance.
Invalda INVL Retail Business
Following the merger of the retail businesses of Šiaulių Bankas and Invalda INVL, the Group began managing a portfolio of second- and third-pillar pension and investment funds worth EUR 1.1 billion.
Danske Bank Private Client Portfolio
Šiaulių Bankas acquired the private client portfolio of Danske Bank’s Lithuanian branch, valued at EUR 125 million.
Finasta Investment Bank
Šiaulių Bankas acquired Finasta Investment Bank, which managed assets worth EUR 70 million.
Ūkio Bankas Assets and Liabilities
Šiaulių Bankas took over EUR 790 million in high-quality assets and insured liabilities from Ūkio Bankas.
Nasdaq Official List
Stocks of Šiaulių Bankas were admitted to the Nasdaq Baltic Official List.
Nasdaq Baltic Exchange
Stocks of Šiaulių Bankas were admitted to the Nasdaq Baltic Secondary List.
Registration of Šiaulių Bankas
Šiaulių Bankas was officially registered with a capital of 16 million roubles. The bank was founded by Zenonas Eimutis Sabalys.
Bank Founding Agreement
The bank’s founding agreement was signed. Based on the Šiauliai Industrial Division of the then-operating Bank of Lithuania, the joint-stock company Šiaulių Bankas was established.

Artea identity
Our set of typography, colors, and graphic elements was created by Lithuanian designers, inspired by motifs found in traditional patterns. “Artea” reflects our modern approach to Lithuanian identity – the name sounds similar to the Lithuanian word artėja (getting closer) and also represents our promise to you – to be closer.
