ARTEA LIZINGAS UAB DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCESSIBILITY OF SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS
This document provides information on how the services provided by Artea Lizingas UAB (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) to residents comply with the accessibility requirements set forth in the legislation of the European Union and the Republic of Lithuania (hereinafter referred to as the “Accessibility Requirements”).
The Company strives to ensure that all services are developed and provided to customers on equal terms, regardless of a person’s abilities or functional disabilities, and that they are as accessible as possible to everyone.
Services are provided to customers at Artea Bankas customer service units, physical points of sale of consumer credit intermediaries (hereinafter referred to as “Intermediaries”), and via the Company’s digital channels. If you need additional assistance or the desired service is difficult to access, please do not hesitate to contact the Company’s employees directly. In addition, it should be noted that the Company does not prevent customers and Intermediaries from using other means of assistance that are not provided for in the Accessibility Requirements, such as using the services of interpreters, or, when a customer is accompanied by their designated social worker (personal assistant), using the assistance of the accompanying person to explain the Company’s services and the terms and conditions of the Consumer Credit Agreement.
This document is publicly available on the website www.artea.lt in Lithuanian and English and can be provided to the customer in both written and verbal form.
Legal basis
The Company provides services to residents in accordance with the following laws and recommendations:
- Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the accessibility requirements for products and services.
- Republic of Lithuania Law on Accessibility Requirements for Products and Services.
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.1 Level AA1.
Digital channels used to provide services
- www.artea.lt website;
- Artea Lizingas self-service portal;
- Artea Lizingas mobile app (Android/iOS);
- Artea Lizingas e-credit.
Tips for customers who use assistive technologies
Customers and Intermediaries who wish to use the Company’s digital services in accordance with the WCAG 2.1 Web Content Accessibility Guidelines should configure their devices, operating systems (hereinafter referred to as “OS”) and web browsers accordingly.
We recommend installing and configuring assistive technology on the devices you use, if necessary. For example:
- screen reading software such as VoiceOver (Mac, iOS) and TalkBack (Android);
- the keyboard navigation function can be enabled in the operating system settings or by using browser shortcut keys (for example, “Tab” for navigation, “Enter” to activate the selected item, “Ctrl +/Ctrl -“ to zoom in/zoom out);
- high contrast mode can be activated via the OS settings;
- check that any assistive technologies (if used) are compatible with the device and browser you are using and use the latest versions of web browsers.
Tips for Intermediaries
At physical points of sale, the Leasing Application System (LAS) is used as usual. If any uncertainties arise, the Intermediary must consult the Lender. If the customer needs help:
- when signing the contract documents on paper (manually), the Intermediary’s employee, having identified such a need, must familiarise the customer with the documents to be signed verbally, or may send a draft version of the contract to the e-mail address provided by the customer, or cooperate with the social worker accompanying the person (personal assistant), who may also verbally familiarise the customer with the documents to be signed.
- When signing contract documents on a tablet, the Intermediary’s employee, having identified such a need, uses screen reading applications such as VoiceOver (Mac, iOS) or TalkBack (Android). The TalkBack screen reader only functions correctly on devices running Android 15 or later. If the device used by the Intermediary does not support Android 15 or later software versions, an Intermediary employee will verbally familiarise the customer with the documents to be signed or will cooperate with the social worker accompanying the person (personal assistant), who can also verbally familiarise the customer with the documents to be signed.
- When using the TalkBack (Android) screen reader, after installing Android 15 or later software version in digital sales systems of Intermediaries, the Artea Lizingas e-credit system complies with WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements, and customers can independently access the necessary service by configuring their devices accordingly.
Accessibility features in digital channels
The Company aims to comply with WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements when creating and developing digital channels.
However, some digital channels still have shortcomings and do not meet all WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements, which should ensure that visually impaired customers using assistive technologies can independently access the Company’s services. The Company strives to continuously improve its digital channels to ensure accessibility for persons with disabilities and will periodically update this description.
Artea Lizingas self-service portal/Artea Lizingas mobile app
- If the customer or Intermediary does not use a screen reader and the customer is potentially visually impaired, the personal code field in the login window, the text in the advertising material, and the scrollbar in the loan calculator, which lists the components of the annual percentage rate of charge based on the movement of the text, may be difficult to read due to insufficient contrast between the text and the background.
- The scrollbar in the loan calculator does not comply with WCAG standards, as screen readers cannot scan the entire moving text and therefore read only part of the text or do not scan it at all. In such cases, the customer or Intermediary may use the option in the Artea Lizingas calculator to click on the information icon, and the information relevant to the granting of consumer credit will be presented in a static format (without the scrollbar), so that screen readers can read such text without technical issues.
Artea Lizingas e-credit
- When using the TalkBack screen reader (Android) on a tablet or any other mobile device running the Android operating system without Android 15 or later software installed, after selecting the method of signing and after the system has generated the application/contract document, the text will be displayed incorrectly for screen reader users.

Information provided to customers via digital channels is presented in language with a complexity level not higher than B2 (Independent User) according to the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and in accordance with the Standardised Payment Service Terms and Definitions.approved by the Bank of Lithuania.
